Meaningful and lasting impact is rarely achieved alone. It is built through strong partnerships, shared responsibility, and the collective efforts of organisations, institutions, communities, and individuals working towards common goals. By bringing together diverse strengths, perspectives, and resources, partnerships create opportunities to address complex challenges in ways that are more inclusive, responsive, and sustainable.
Through strategic collaborations and special funding initiatives, Yayasan Hasanah continues to support efforts that strengthen communities, expand access, and respond to emerging needs across the nation. These partnerships extend beyond financial support, fostering long-term collaboration, capacity building, and shared learning to help amplify impact where it matters most.
Rural Infrastructure Impact
Access to essential services continues to shape the daily realities of underserved communities, forming a quiet but important part of how dignity and opportunity take root.
In 2025, communities we supported saw improved access to clean water and solar-powered electricity. For many households, this meant no longer needing to spend hours each day walking to collect water, and having reliable light after dark — small shifts that meaningfully ease the rhythm of daily life and open up more time for what matters.
These efforts were designed to support, not disrupt, existing ways of life. Community members were equipped to operate and maintain the systems, ensuring continuity on their own terms.
As a result, households are also seeing reduced spending on energy and water, easing financial pressure and allowing greater flexibility in how resources are used — whether for education, care, or strengthening livelihoods.

GLC/ GLIC Demi Rakyat dan Negara (GDRN)
GLC/GLIC Demi Rakyat dan Negara (GDRN) is a coordinated corporate social responsibility initiative across Malaysia’s GLC and GLIC network, dedicated to uplifting the B40 community through sustained, structured programmes.
Since its founding in 2013, GDRN has evolved from a humanitarian aid initiative into a broader platform supporting communities across multiple dimensions, including education and holistic well-being, reflecting a deepening commitment to long-term, meaningful impact.
This is further strengthened through collaboration with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia via the GDRN Bantu matching grant, enabling partners across the network to amplify support and extend their reach to more communities in need.
At present, Yayasan Hasanah and Yayasan TM serve as co-secretariats of GDRN.

Sekolah Angkat Madani
Sekolah Angkat Madani (SAM) is a government-led school adoption initiative under the broader MADANI agenda, where organisations such as government-linked companies, agencies, or NGOs “adopt” selected schools to support their development.
Launched by the Prime Minister in June 2025, Yayasan Hasanah has adopted 10 schools across five states—Kuala Lumpur, Pulau Pinang, Pahang, Sabah, and Sarawak—comprising six primary and four secondary schools.
SAM’s main aim is to improve school outcomes through targeted, multidimensional interventions, and they are:
- Smart classroom upgrades with WiFi-enabled digital learning infrastructure tailored to school needs
- Essential facility and equipment improvements to strengthen school safety and student well-being
- Free spectacles provision for B40 students through the MySPECS programme with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and Temasek Foundation
- Funding for school-led programmes across academic support, teacher training, student development, mentoring, and STEM enrichment
- Awareness talks on Yayasan Khazanah scholarships and post-SPM pathways for students, as well as sharing of advanced study opportunities for teachers
- Free meal support for B40 secondary students to improve attendance and reinforce learning continuity
- Mental health facility upgrades with dedicated support corners to promote awareness, access, and stigma reduction
Students now benefit from upgraded learning environments, greater access to mental health resources, and a wider selection of reading materials. Teacher capacity has been strengthened, socio-emotional development nurtured, and targeted interventions have helped narrow performance gaps amongst underserved students.
In just six months, SAM’s interventions have yielded measurable results. Three out of four participating high schools recorded improvements in their overall SPM results in 2025, which is a strong early indicator of progress.
Cruyff Courts
Inspired by the legacy of Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff, Cruyff Courts are multi-sport facilities that bring safe, inclusive spaces to underserved communities. In Malaysia and beyond, they offer children and youth free or low-cost access to football pitches and sports areas.
Since 2012, Yayasan Hasanah, in collaboration with the Johan Cruyff Foundation, has funded and developed Cruyff Courts across the country in both rural and low-income urban areas. Today, there are eight Cruyff Courts built nationwide — one each in Johor, Pahang, Kedah, and Kelantan, and three in low-income urban areas of Kuala Lumpur. Yayasan Hasanah aims to add seven more by 2026.
Each court now serves hundreds of local children daily, promoting physical activity, social skills, and a sense of community.
APPGM-SDG
Yayasan Hasanah managed the disbursement of an additional RM9 million to the All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia on Sustainable Development Goals (APPGM-SDG), supporting 8,740 individuals from diverse backgrounds nationwide. This includes SDG-driven initiatives in rural communities, advancing social and environmental impact across 55 constituencies in Malaysia.
